ACCOMMODATED OVERLAND ADVENTURE TRAVEL IN AFRICA

WildLife Adventures is proud to introduce to you the experience of many years of living, travelling and operating overland adventure safaris all over Africa.  Africa is unique and very addictive. One of the most awe-inspiring places on earth, and the chance to experience another world. It is the cradle of all civilization where boundless cultures and traditions mingle with the rarest of creatures.

WildLife Adventures' Adventure trips and safaris offer a full multi-country African experience. We have designed them to include the absolute very best of Africa with plenty of action, culture swapping, game viewing, flexibility and fun.

We utilize a great variety of styles of accommodation on all of our tours. Some may be mainly camping, with a minimum number of nights in hotels or lodges, others may be all hotel and lodge accommodation and some may be a combination.

About WildLife Adventures

An African Company

Africa is in our blood. Each and every member of the WildLife Adventures team is entirely African born and bred. Being based on the ground in Africa means that we can offer our guests a truly 'authentic' African experience.

WildLife Adventures is passionate about and involved in Africa on every level. Many of our trips feature visits to community-benefit tourism projects. These are camps that are owned by specific rural communities, interactive village visits or specific ventures like the Ibo Island Project in northern Mozambique: a project that WildLife Adventures has been actively involved in for the past 8 years.

We know that for many of our guests these community projects are one of the many highlights of their trip. This is because they get the opportunity to learn more about African people, lifestyles and culture. Furthermore, these visits contribute directly to the welfare of these villagers. We place a strong emphasis on cultural interaction in all our trips so that visitors leave our shores with far greater understanding of the diversity and uniqueness of the different African cultures.

All Inclusive Price - Our Commitment to Value

Unlike many of our competitors, WildLife Adventures operates all-inclusive tours. This means that there are no hidden extras' on our trips. Visits to more game parks and highlights are costed into the package price, so that what you see is what you get. Competitors do not include the expensive highlights or game parks in their tour price. This way they can appear cheaper by offering these as optional extras'

Our policy on price is exceptional, all-inclusive value, so that you know exactly what is included for the money you have paid. Every WildLife Adventures trip have been designed to include National Parks, highlights, guided activities, ground transportation, the services of our guides, camp meals, and all equipment.

So if you do your homework, you will find that WildLife Adventures indeed offers fantastic value for money.

What do we offer that is unique?

Through our own extensive personal travel experience we are able to operate in a surprisingly large number of areas. Many of the trips that we offer, or charter, are unique to us. Our philosophy is to not only cover mainstream African destinations, but also the lesser-travelled regions such as: northern Mozambique, the Quirimba Archipelago, the Kaokoveld in northern Namibia, the Rift Valley Lakes, Simien Mountains in Ethiopia and the world's fourth largest island - Madagascar.

WildLife Adventures is also one of the few companies that offer a full range of choices. You can choose from pure adventure to decadent luxury, to explore off the beaten track or follow the well travelled routes. You may also plan your own itinerary. Ask for assistance and recommendations from our experienced and friendly staff. The range of possibilities in Africa are endless.

Either way, our vast experience means that with us you are always in good hands and can expect to enjoy a personal, effortless and extraordinary journey that will touch your soul.

If you are looking to experience the real Africa, travel with WildLife Adventures and you'll find it!

A Typical Day
Travelling days are part of the many excitements of adventure safaris. You are crossing Africa, reaching for your next destination, not sitting on an interstate or motorway with nothing but traffic ahead. You will pass through amazing scenery, see wildlife of every description and enjoy breathtaking views. You will see more of Africa this way than any other. Being in your own vehicle means you have the freedom to stop anywhere you wish. If you want to take photos, sample the roadside markets and curios, or just sit back and take in everything you can see, this is all part and parcel of the journey.

Rest days are exactly that. You may take part in included activities such as game drives and walks, or enjoy free time on your own - exploring markets, meeting local people, pursuing optional activities or just looking at Africa.

Adventure Tours Equipment
We use spacious 2 person waterproof dome tents with fully-fitted ground sheets and sewn-in mosquito nets. We also provide thick, comfy mattresses, so all you need to bring is your sleeping bag.

Some of the camps we use are in National Parks, or private sites that have great facilities like hot water, flush toilets and even luxuries like swimming pools! Other camps are more basic, like our bush or village camps. The beauty of these camps is that you will find yourself getting up close and personal with Africa.

Food while on Adventure Tours
In our opinion going that extra mile for great food is crucial to any travel experience. You'll have fresh food along the way, and of course sample the local specialties of the countries we travel through. Meals will be prepared by your guides, who are renowned for their amazing fireside cuisine! Most of our trips call for your limited participation only, which means that your guides will handle all camp duties, leaving your free to enjoy Africa.

However we do recommend that everyone gets involved - it's the way to turn trips into unforgettable adventures! To safeguard everyone's health on tour, your guides ensure that excellent hygiene standards are maintained. In Africa, especially in the more remote areas, availability of foods and fresh products are often limited - if you have any special dietary requirements please inform us at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
